If you enjoy Edgar Allan Poe...

...I have a new story in my gallery, "A Fifth of Jameson," an updated retelling of Poe's "A Cask of Amontillado."
I really wish Deviant Art would let us use more than one literature icon. I made one with soldiers marching through the trenches that reads "The Front," in reference to my World War I submissions. But this latest story has nothing to do with my WWI projects, so I realize that having an image of soldiers stamped across the thumbnail is a bit confusing.
If you're a Poe fan or a gothic horror fan, please let me know what you think of this story. I had a great time writing it and I hope it's creepy enough even if it pales in comparison with its inspiration.

I LOVE "Carnivale"! I was obsessed with that show while it was on. It stinks that they cancelled it--it was amazing.

You have a Great gallery. I especially like that you articulate as a means of evoking an emotional connection with your characters and drawings. Particularly in the description for the piece "What I've Done."
Thanks again, be fine...
